Happy Halloween!

I can’t believe it’s the last day of October already! It’s also the last day to enter the Holiday Softie Awards…here’s my final entry (I knew I’d be finishing him up at the last minute):

Franc

Franc Franc

Meet Franc. He looks a bit unnerving, but he is really very harmless. He likes to keep a low profile, but every once in a while, when the mood strikes, he throws on his top hat & tails & performs his number to Puttin’ on the Ritz.

Puuh-in onna RIIIHHZ!

Happy haunting!!

Hello!

Well here I am. Writing my first blog post. Eek. I really am very apprehensive about this…I’ve never recorded my thoughts with the intention of anyone other than me ever reading them. But alas, here I am.

I’ve entered two of my creations into the Holiday Softie Awards, sponsored by Softies Central. Deadline is tomorrow at midnight & I am quite surprised I was able to submit them last night. Two days early? Me? Here they are:

Prudence
Prudence Prudence

Meet sweet Prudence, all set to boogie in her holiday best. Snowflakes on her collar, red mary janes, & a bright holly berry atop her head, she’s waiting for the Jingle Bell Rock!
I learned a few lessons in construction sequencing from her.

Bernerd

Bernerd Bernerd

Meet Bernerd the toy soldier. He is very delighted to make your acquaintance. Bernerd prides himself on keeping a clean crisp suit. His gold buttons are always polished & sparkling, his white sash always glowing. Aside from being a fine ol’ chap, Bernerd is really one strapping toy soldier.
I just imagine him as a proud British bloke. I think he enjoys his time off duty drinking Stella Artois & eating crumpets. All in moderation of course.

I just had my first Stella this weekend…for some reason I had been anticipating that for some time now. I enjoyed it, although I have yet to get through a full bottle of beer. Maybe it’s not my drink of choice. My husband Anthony & I have decided we will find ourselves a favorite wine. It’s a quest we haven’t started yet, but Thanksgiving may introduce us to some new tastes.

Hmmm, I didn’t anticipate that my first post would delve into alcohol but perhaps we should play on this…I am lifting my imaginary glass filled to the brim with that delicious wine I know we will find & toasting you a warm fall welcome. Thank you for visiting my humble little place, & please come back often.
